STAY: We rented a house through @reddoorgetaways

STAY:

We rented a house through @reddoorgetaways I will link our exact house in stories but it was called Star-a-Lago and can be found through the link in their bio. It slept 50 with 11 rooms with king beds and sleeper sofas. It had a great setup for play areas for the kids both upstairs and downstairs. Our only complaint was lack of a pantry or cabinets for all the food required for a house that sleeps 50. Oh and no ice maker! So if you are like me, prepare yourself for cluttered kitchen counters during your stay 🫣 Also pack extra trash bags, paper towels, detergent, dishwasher pods (and ice!) because it came with the bare minimum.

Dollywood is close by but FYI it is closed for the entire month of February every year.

We went to @piratesvoyage for their dinner show and the kids loved it. It was honestly really impressive (think arcobats + seals, plus show dogs, plus a full meal & dessert)

We also went snow tubing at @obermountain which was a blast for the kids and the adults had fun too! If you wanted to save money and your kids are 6+ you wouldn’t have to pay for an adult ticket to ride. You can watch everything for the side if you’re comfortable letting your kids go down together. It was fun though!

@rockytopmountaincoaster was a blast! It is roughly a 10 minute ride and was so fun. Heads up, if you go on a Saturday or holiday, be prepared to wait in line even if you buy your tickets ahead of time. We waited about an hour, and it honestly went by fast, but had we not already purchased the tickets, we probably would have skipped it due to the line. In the end, I’m glad we waited though because it was so fun!

If you’re visiting during warmer weather, @anakeesta was one of our favorite places from our last trip to the Smokies. Definitely recommend checking it out!

This truly only scratches the surface of things to do in the area, which is part of what makes it such a great place to visit with a big group!

Happy 10th birthday to our sweet Natalie girl! She brings SO much joy to our family and is so intentional about celebrating others, so celebrating HER is extra fun! Our home videos of her as a toddler happen to be the most requested videos to watch by all of our kids, so in honor of her birthday, we’re sharing a few of our favorites today ☺️
